At the time of its release in 1958, Vincente Minnelli's film Gigi won eight Oscars, including Best Picture. The film, which centers on a wealthy man who falls for a French waif, screens today at 3 p.m. as part of the Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque's Film Classics in 35MM Series. The Musical Theatre Project's Bill Rudman and Cinematheque director John Ewing will introduce the film and then lead a post-film discussion. Tickets are $12. (Niesel)
