Inspirational Writing

From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m today, the Cleveland Museum of Art hosts a special all-day workshop. Art to Inspire Your Writing uses works from the museum’s collections as inspiration for this writing workshop, led by Hiram College’s creative writing and certified journal instructor Ginny Taylor. The day includes visits to the galleries throughout the museum, examples from literature, and directed exercises, as well as time for individual writing. At the end of the workshop, participants will be invited to share their words and celebrate how art has inspired their fiction, nonfiction, drama, poetry or more. All skill levels are welcome. There’s a $95 registration fee for the public; it’s $75 for CMA members.
