Like a musician who plays music that crosses over into multiple genres, Dante Rodriguez doesn’t fit neatly into a box. He doesn’t consider himself a “painter.” Rather, he like to say, “I work with paint” or “I work with photography” because he’s interested in the connection between artist and medium. His bright, colorful paintings are, in his words, “ tribute to the creators of modern painting.” Tonight at Rotten Meat, a reception for his latest exhibition takes place from 6 until 10 p.m. Admission is free.
