Miss May I/the Ghost Inside/Like Moths to Flames/the Amity Affliction/Glass Cloud

Few bands can make getting into the music industry look easy, but the Troy, Ohio metal quintet Miss May I has been on the fast track since emerging in 2006. Shortly after forming, they signed to Rise Records and released their debut, Apologies are for the Weak, in 2009. A mix of clean vocals that switch into deep growls and heavy guitar riffs, the band’s sound has evolved on their third studio album, At Heart, which has established the group as metalcore front-runners. The group played the Warped Tour main stage all summer and comes to town now as the headlining act on the AP Fall Tour. (Nikki Hunt)
