Mothering in Community Performance

Join us for a performance illustrating the communities of care specific to motherhood in partnership with exhibiting artist, Margaret Hull, and Madison “Mama Bird” Hendry. In celebration of World Breastfeeding Week, an intergenerational group of mothers will dress in Hull’s specially designed Zero Waste Blouse which offers its wearer the option of modesty while breastfeeding. Each performer will secure the blouse of the mother beside them, covering and protecting their chest or breastfeeding child from view, ultimately creating an unbroken circle of mothers supporting each other. Following the performance, a reflection discussion with the performers will take place at 11:15.
