Kumeso Opening Reception
Opening Friday, September 6th at 5pm, Pinwheel Gallery presents "KUMESO" a solo show of artwork by Cleveland artist, Sylvia Munodawafa. Kumeso is the word for face in Shona, the language of Sylvia's country of origin, Zimbabwe. This theme is evident through her sculpted and painted masks, in which she has drawn inspiration from the rich cultural landscapes of Africa. Come see the show and enter a world where abstraction and tradition coalesce, where every stroke and curve carries a narrative of beauty, strength, and the enduring spirit of all ancient cultures!
