Founded in 1968, Poco was a forerunner to the whole country-rock movement. In fact, its 1969 debut, Pickin' up the Pieces, is often considered one of the movement's defining albums. Since that time, the band has undergone countless lineup changes, and now singer-guitarist Rusty Young is the sole original member still involved with the group. Earlier this year, the band released All Fired Up, an album of twangy tunes that doesn't quite have enough of an edge to it. For this gig, which is part of the weekend-long 'Round Town Festival, Pure Prairie League joins the bill. (Niesel)
