One of the few "clean" comics working the circuit these days, comedian, television host and nationally syndicated radio personality Rickey Smiley often slips into character for his routines, taking on fictional roles such as "Bernice Jenkins" and "Rusty Dale." Smiley, who likes to talk about growing up in the projects, draws from his childhood experiences as a poor black kid for his material. He performs tonight at 7:30 and 10:15 at the Improv and has shows scheduled for 7 and 9:30 tomorrow night too. Tickets are $30. (Niesel)
