While biking from Cleveland to Seattle earlier this year, local cycling enthusiast Shelli Snyder was struck from behind by a motorist at 60 mph. The accident happened this past September and Snyder is currently still in a hospital. Tonight at 6 at the Capitol, a special screening of the movie Ruin and Rose, a film about extreme skiing, will serve as a fundraiser to offset Snyder’s medical expenses. A special raffle takes place at 6 and the film screens at 7:30. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door. (Niesel)
