With Ballad of Buster Scruggs, writer-directors Joel and Ethan Coen pay tribute to the old Western short stories that would recount the bank heists and gunfights that were the stuff of legend. The film consists of a series of short vignettes that include appearances by Liam Neeson, James Franco and Tim Blake Nelson. The movie makes its local theatrical debut tonight at 7:05 at the Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque. Tickets cost $10, or $7 for Cinematheque members and students. (Niesel)
