The Diviners

The  Diviners  follows  the  story  of  Buddy  Layman,  a  boy  with  a  mental  disability,  living  in  the   small  town  of  Zion,  Indiana  during  the  bleakest  days  of  the  Great  Depression.  Buddy  finally  gets   someone  to  believe  in  him  when  C.C.  Showers,  a  handsome  stranger  with  a  hidden  past,  ambles   onto  the  scene.  This  intimate  play  about  the  simple  people  of  Zion’s  good  intentions  gone  awry   details  the  quiet  tragedy  that  can  occur  when  people  attempt  to  confront  their  fears  and  reach   for  their  dreams.
