The Hush Sound/Tommy & the High Pilots/Bethesda

After a four-year hiatus that started in 2009, the Hush Sound officially reunited earlier this year in full with the original lineup, including bassist Chris Faller, who left prior to the band’s break. There’s no disputing that the quartet earned some time off to pursue other interests; face it, front woman and pianist Greta Salpeter was 17 when their freshman album, So Sudden, was released in 2005. Here’s hoping the band, which compares favorably to Panic! At the Disco (back when they had the exclamation point), sticks to the upbeat tempo and positive lyrics on its fourth album, due out next year. (Nikki Hunt)
