The Nutcracker

In the past, Akron Beacon Journal readers have voted the Ballet Theatre of Ohio's production of The Nutcracker as Akron's No. 1 holiday show. Set on Christmas Eve, the ballet, as you know, centers on a young heroine and her doll. As the clock strikes midnight, magical things begin to happen. The ballet's performance of the Christmas classic takes place today at 2 p.m. at the Akron Civic Theatre, where performances also take place tonight at 7 and tomorrow at 2 p.m. Tickets are $34 to $46.
