Held from 6 to 8 tonight, this free event
allows families, neighbors and friends to walk down an illuminated South Park Boulevard lined with luminaries to the boardwalk of the All People’s Trail as well as the drive of the Shaker Historical Society. At the Nature Center you will find a bonfire and the fireplace inside the Nature Center. At the Shaker Historical Society you can warm your hands on the grounds by the heated outdoor area or while taking a free tour of the Shaker Historical Society Museum. Warm alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, as well as food items, will be available for purchase at both locations courtesy of the Picnic Hill Market Cafe. Both venues will offer holiday selfie-stations with themed props. The Nature Center will offer the new Jimmy’s Treehouse as a photo station, and the Shaker Historical Society will have their station set up on the grounds. Additionally both sites will host performances by Nightingale Women’s A Cappella group.
Gift shops at both locations will be open for holiday shopping. Masks are recommended for all visitors, regardless of vaccination status. All attendees should plan to maintain 6-foot social distancing as much as possible. Street parking is available on South Park Boulevard at the Nature Center and the Shaker Historical Society.
