There’s just something about the Christmas season that makes us want to reconnect with the past: to silence the cell phone, zip up the laptop, and simply stroll along an old-fashioned Main Street, where colored lights twinkle, treetops sparkle, and festive wreaths beckon from every doorway.
In other words, we want to go to Hudson.
We stroll; we shop; we gawk at all the tasteful ornamentation. And once all this Bedford Falls-style nostalgia has sufficiently primed our appetite, we cruise into
Downtown 140, executive chef Shawn Monday’s warm, welcoming restaurant and wine bar across from the city’s decked out town square. Always a cozy destination, the restaurant is at its most lovely during the holidays, with poinsettias, candlelight, and an elegant little Christmas tree tucked into the tiny foyer.
