BrewDog Cleveland is on pace to open its 10,000-square-foot riverfront brewery on Scranton Peninsula this coming November. In advance of that, the company released new renderings that reveal a dramatic space that blends historic warehouse appeal with warm fixtures that soften the industrial building’s bones. The Avian building, the Cleveland home of the beloved Scottish craft brewer, features high ceilings, sturdy pillars and exposed brick walls.
In addition to the company’s core beers, an on-site 8-barrel brewhouse will produce distinctive small-batch brews. Those will be joined by 24 taps pouring beer from other Ohio breweries.
The spacious interior is dwarfed by the massive beer garden, which can accommodate an estimated 400 guests.
Launched in 2007 by a pair of young, brash beer lovers, BrewDog played by its own rules. By year two it had become Scotland's largest independent brewery and by year five it was named the "Fastest Growing Company in Scotland."
With the opening in 2017 of its large Columbus brewery, the company established a presence in the States. Already they have expanded to Cincinnati, Indianapolis and Pittsburgh.
