Bice lands at the Ritz-Carlton

Long-awaited Italian restaurant Bice opens Thursday, March 8, at 5 p.m., in downtown's Tower City Center (230 W. Huron Rd.). Part of an international chain that stretches from Beverly Hills to Tokyo, the upscale ristorante takes over space formerly occupied by Century at the Ritz-Carlton. Well-pedigreed key staffers help make the spot sound particularly promising: Milan native and professionally trained chef Luigi Iannuvario will be in charge of the cucina, whipping up dishes like osso bucco, veal ravioli with mushroom sauce, and risotto with white truffles; and hospitality vet Ruben DeJesus (late of former Classics, at the InterContinental) will handle front-of-the-house chores. Besides the Deco-style dining room, the 3,500-square-foot space also includes a cushy cocktail lounge and private party rooms. Beginning Friday, March 9, Bice will be open for lunch and dinner, daily. For reservations or more info, call 216-298-4447. -- Elaine T. Cicora
