The popular Neapolitan-style pizza shop Citizen Pie (15710 Waterloo Rd., 216-417-2742) announced back in September of last year that it had inked a deal for a second location in Ohio City. One year later, it's almost time to open the doors.

Citizen Pie (2144 West 25th St.) will debut next Tuesday, September 12. Diners will find a similar menu to the Collinwood original but a much larger space — about 1,700 square feet — with plenty of tables and counter seating.

"It's just this tiny little place, but we have become a destination," owner Claudia Young told us earlier this year of the east-side location. The Ohio City outpost, about a block south of the West Side Market, will likely become a destination too, and will certainly be capable of handling far more customers.

The team, which includes chef Vytauras Sasnauskas, will also be adding soft-serve ice cream to the OC menu. “We’re going to take our time with the soft serve,” Sasnauskas told Cleveland.com. “We want to make it perfect, where we can try different flavors and do some interesting things.”
