Dates have been announced for the 5th annual La Placita summer series. La Placita is an open-air, Hispanic-themed marketplace that provides local minority entrepreneurs and artists with an opportunity to showcase their products. The events are designed to foster Cleveland’s Latino culture and promote economic development in La Villa Hispana, a placemaking initiative within the Clark-Fulton neighborhood.
“La Placita is a grassroots neighborhood initiative where culture and commerce intersect,” explains Jenice Contreras, Executive Director of the Hispanic Business Center. “It is a new and exciting cultural experience that all families can enjoy.”
La Placita events will take place from 1 to 10 p.m. on June 15, July 20 and August 17. The address is 3104 W. 25th Street, near the intersection of Clark Avenue and West 25th. Visitors can expect a varied selection of traditional foods, artisan vendors and live entertainment.
