Food Network Pegs Cleveland's Melt Bar and Grilled as a Must-Stop Shop

Dripping with cheese and trans fats, Melt Bar and Grilled's iconic sandwiches have been making Cleveland mouths water since it was founded in 2006. This month, it's getting international recognition from Food Network Canada's You Gotta Eat Here!

Filming for the foodie franchise starts at 11 a.m. July 20 and welcomes any local sandwich-lovers to come be part of the crowd. The crew will be at Melt's Independence location to film and interview visitors. So if you're one of the 600 Clevelanders with Melt tattoos, now is the time to show it off.

Popular Canadian food staple You Gotta Eat Here! follows comedian John Catucci as he finds the best eats from all around world. Now on a North American run, Catucci and the network have singled out our hometown hero as a must-stop food shop.

Melt has been on our screens before. Not even a little camera-shy, the grilled cheese legend has been featured on The Travel Channel's Man v. Food and the Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives in 2010. Since, Melt's gotten a smattering of mentions across food blogs and television series from Esquire, Time and The Best Thing I Ever Ate.

Filming crews will be around the location all day. Knowing how long Melt's waits can get, we advise any television hopefuls to get there early if they expect to see their faces on the small screen.

Melt Bar and Grilled's Independence location is at  6700 Rockside Rd.
