Friday Night Dinner at Terrestrial Brewing to Pair House Chef Penny With Walter Hyde of Fat Casual BBQ

Northeast Ohio barbecue fans know the name Walter Hyde. Along with partner Scott Slagle, Hyde ran the deliriously delicious Fat Casual BBQ in Macedonia. The restaurant attracted smoked-meat fans from all over the region, who came for heaping platters of brisket, pulled pork and St. Louis-style ribs. These days, you can find Hyde at Ice Ice Daisy’s in Slavic Village, where he dishes up ice cream and food specials most of the year.

Tomorrow, Friday October 15 and next Friday October 22, Hyde will join chef Penny Barend Tagliarina in the kitchen at Terrestrial Brewing (7524 Father Frascati Dr., 216-465-9999) for two special dinner collaborations. Naturally, there will be plenty of smoked meats, but the big prize will be the smoked prime rib, which was a Friday night special at Fat Casual.

The first-come, first-served event kicks off at 5 p.m.
