Penzeys Spices has closed the Ohio City location of its spice business. Located on the ground floor of the United Bank Building (2000 W. 25th St.), the shop had been open for seven years.

The purveyor of all things spice still has a shop on the east side. That store is located at Village Square (27099 Chagrin Blvd.) in Woodmere.

Home cooks still have two wonderful "urban" sources for spices within the West Side Market: Urban Herbs, which is located next to Ohio City Pasta, and Narrin Spice.
