Bac does a tasty job with their version of the south of the border classic, Fried Ice Cream. They start with a ball of vanilla ice cream, which they then cover in Bac's secret coating. The frozen ball is then quickly fried in a 500 degree wok for ten seconds. The fried beauty is topped with whipped cream, strawberry compote, blueberries, and caramel. Fried pickles. Need we say more? Well if we did we could mention that the dish is traditional dill pickles coated in a house-made breading, seasoned, and fried. Here's another hidden gem located in Northeast Ohio. Tarboosh Eatery in Parma has a deep fried all-star with their fried kibbeh. Finely crushed wheat and beef make up a shell that is stuffed with seven blends of seasonings, lamb, beef, and onion. The ball is then deep fried and served with a yogurt sauce. SOHO serves a delicious version of the southern classic - fried green tomatoes. Generously-sliced tomatoes are breaded and then pan fried until golden brown.
