Lakewood has been on the receiving end of lots o' positive buzz, as of late: the Cleveland suburb was recently accoladed for being both exciting and safe, while reports earlier this month unveiled that a stellar batch of Lakewood Park improvements may very well be underway by next fall.
Now, Lakewood's Humble Wine Bar has been named one of the "hottest" pizza places in the country by Eater.com, which annually ranks the most hip or "in" places in the U.S. on their Eater Pizza Heat Map.
In its write-up, Eater even pulled a quote from Scene's own dining editor, Douglas Trattner, who wrote about the Lakewood gem back in November for the Eater Cleveland Heatmap:
"On the heels of his successful gastropub Deagan's, Dan Deagan added this urban wine bar to his portfolio. Gleaming white subway tile, warm woods, concrete floors, and a 500-bottle mahogany wine cellar offer an update to the classic mold. The fare is limited to meat and cheese boards, finger-friendly starters, and thin-crust pizzas, which exit the blistering stone oven hot and crisp."
If you haven't yet checked out Humble Wine Bar, bump it up on the old To Do list, and, in the meantime, check our our review from our visits back in the fall.
