5-23: Trawick, Grand, Porcelli at Pentagon Gallery

Posted By on Fri, May 22, 2009 at 11:00 AM

Leonard Trawick has long been a force in Cleveland’s poetry scene. A professor at Cleveland State University from 1968 to 1998, Trawick is also a founder of the Poets League of Greater Cleveland (now called the Lit) and the main editor of CSU Poetry Center’s book series. He shows another side of his creative output with an exhibit of watercolors, etchings and linoleum-cut prints at Pentagon Gallery. Also in the show: works by Joe Grand (who contributes modern impressionist acrylics) and sculptor Joyce Porcelli. The exhibit opens with a reception running from 6-9 tonight at Pentagon Gallery & Frame (3102 Mayfield Rd., Cleveland Hts., 216.321.3362). The show runs through July 25. Admission is free. — Michael Gill
