Re: “Best Yoga

Thanks Cleveland Scene for picking us as your fav! We are honored and thrilled! Yes, we love having Anna in the Raw's juice available now. It is perfect after a powerful yoga class! Many thanks for the recognition! Tami Schneider, Owner of Cleveland Yoga Studios.

Re: “Best Fitness Club

Highly recommend Planet Fitness. Great club and only $10/month, no commitment. My club in Richmond Heights has been a great place to workout.

Re: “Best Fitness Club

I've been to a few Planet Fitness clubs in the Cleveland area. All of them have been awesome. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, clean and judgement free.

Re: “Sports & Recreation

You know, dailey1227, high school sports are more than just football and basketball. And it's more than beating one team that counts, it's how you do against all the teams. I would say the Scene readers picked the correct winner in this category.

Re: “Sports & Recreation

Oh please. Ignatius? While it would be easy to say that ST. Ed's has the better programs, this past year it has been Mentor. I love when the public schools beat the privates and Mentor did it in football and basketball.

Re: “Best Gym for Group Motivation

I'm a die-hard ADDICT to this gym. I've worked out for the last 14 years in a regular gym, but this Crossfit Gym.....made me realize I've never REALLY worked out before.

Re: “Best Spot for Birdwatching

Thanks for calling attention to this beautiful natural area only a short drive from Cleveland. This is an excellent time of year to observe migrating birds and other wildlife at the marsh. A couple corrections, first the address of the Mentor Marsh House is 5185 Corduroy Rd. Second, the reclamation projects in the marsh continue but it is far too soon to say the invasive phragmites has been "fought off". In fact this invasive still dominates the marsh due to salt contamination from a brine dump built in the 1960's. Recently that dump has become the attention of clean-up efforts. All are encouraged to contact your elected state leaders to encourage them to expedite this.
Tom Rapini, Mentor Marsh Board

Re: “Best Reason Not to Ditch Your Tribe Season Tickets

Um ... we got Shin-Soo Choo for Ben Broussard. You can remember this with the handy rhyme:

Eddie Moo
Gets the wazoo
While Benny Broo
Is traded for Choo

Carlos Santana was arguably an even BIGGER fleecing from the DODGERS for CASEY EFFING BLAKE.

Re: “Best Soccer Sensei

I am one of the moms that Sean coaches and I so look forward to our weekly training. Sean is a superior coach: he teaches skills that build upon one another in an intelligent way so that players have a better understanding of the play of the game. He is equal parts fun and studious dedication -- we thoroughly enjoy our training while improving our skills. Three cheers for Coach Sean!
