Re: “Anger and Confusion at City of Cleveland's Communication About and Enforcement of Street Vendor Licenses

Has that even happened yet, Joolz? This summer? Or in previous summers? Nope.
I don't see a safety issue here...I see an extortionist money-grab--by a city hurting for moolah.

Re: “Weekend Parking in the Flats East Bank, Warehouse District Just Became More Challenging

By forcing me to pay to park in a lot, or use valet parking, the city has just guaranteed that I won't be spending money in the Flats (for which they can charge entertainment tax and sales tax)...or even be going down there any time soon...definitely not for the rest of the summer, and maybe beyond.

I don't exactly go down to the Flats a whole bunch anyway. I am not a drinker anymore and have never been a foodie. But for those who are either one , or who are both, this news has to suck.

Somebody will most likely be making a real killing from this move, but it won't be from me.

Re: “You Can Soon Tour the Veteran’s Memorial Bridge and Subway

Great memories. I remember riding the streetcar as a child downtown from W25th, when I lived on W38th and Dennison. When going over the Cuyahoga River, you could look down through the rail bed and see the river. Getting off at the Terminal Tower to shop with my mom and then over to Higbees for lunch.

No one wants licensing or permitting of "businesses" until a defective product hurts someone or an outbreak of food poisoning happens...then the crying begins!

Re: “'I Will Not Be Whoring Out My Medical License to Recommend Pot': Physicians Don't Seem Thrilled With Ohio's Medical Marijuana Law

I was diagnosed of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) in summer of 2014, my symptoms started out with shortness of breath and chronic cough. The pulmonary disease specialist prescribed me some medications to help my symptoms however the medications did no good and their side effects were too severe. In May 2016, i started on NewLife Herbal Clinic COPD Herbal formula treatment, i read alot of positive reviews on their success rate with the COPD Herbal formula and i immediately started on the treatment. Just 11 weeks into the Herbal formula treatment I had great improvements with my breathing, there is no case of dyspnea and chest tightness since treatment, visit NewLife Herbal Clinic official website www. newlifeherbalclinic. com or email info@ newlifeherbalclinic. com. This treatment is incredible!

Yeah, right...that'll be the day...maybe when it snows in August.
Have no idea who or what you are babbling about. Nor do I really care.

I have no idea what goetta is, and how are pierogies and kielbasa not one of the foods? Who picked these food choices? The buckeye and skyline chili are the only things that are very Ohio. Plus these people were way overdramatic.

In the closing days of the Richfield Coliseum, Roger Daltrey performed before a sparse crowd - it may not have filled Music Hall - and did not shift into cruise control. And this was a tour that turned into a financial disaster, as Daltrey was forced to personally take over the financials to honor the scheduled dates.

Crazy how street parking isn't banned in larger cities and their emergency services can still operate. This smells like bullshit

Re: “Anger and Confusion at City of Cleveland's Communication About and Enforcement of Street Vendor Licenses

The city is not doing itself any favors by trying to increase its revenue stream in this fashion, and putting the squeeze on vendors in order to make a quick buck

.Killing off the street fairs and outdoor festivals that take place between May and September would be killing off much of what makes summer in Cleveland such a joy and a delight.

If the street fairs and outdoor festivals go, it may as well be winter all year round.

Re: “Weekend Parking in the Flats East Bank, Warehouse District Just Became More Challenging

What gets me in Cleveland why is parking selectively enforced? Certain areas Cleveland police let people park all over the place in bus stops, no parking or stopping zones and even on private lots. This kind of selective enforcement really gets me, if you go around University Circle, The Cleveland Clinic , Downtown or near west 25th you better pay close attention to where you park, any other area around Cleveland is open parking no matter what the signs say. Who makes up the areas that are enforced or not enforced??

Re: “Anger and Confusion at City of Cleveland's Communication About and Enforcement of Street Vendor Licenses

As the fair director for the Hessler Street Fair, I can say that we have never encountered this particular problem, including this year's fair in early June. However, I must point out that it has become increasingly difficult (and costly) for a small nonprofit group such as ourselves to continue to put on our event, which will (hopefully) mark its 50th anniversary in 2019. It seems as though the rules change nearly every year, and we have no idea what we will be asked to do until we meet with the steering committee. I'll not get into a detailed account of these issues in this venue (I could go on for paragraphs) but suffice it to say that the future of our event is very much in doubt. I am sure we are not the only event in this position.

Re: “Pet Boa Constrictor Nearly Strangles Its Ohio Owner, Firefighters Cut Off Snake's Head

I've played with boa constrictors and I can tell you they move very slowly and you have to LET it wrap itself around your neck. It happens very slowly and you have plenty of time to get the snake off of you. This idiot let the snake wrap itself around her neck. Good grief.
