In this new deadpan comedy from Peru (do they make any other kind of comedy in Peru?), a tough old moneylender finds a baby on his doorstep. So he sets out to find the kid's mom, one of the city's prostitutes. In the meantime, the dude's super-religious neighbor takes care of the baby and his home. The movie was written and directed by a pair of brothers. We hesitate to call them Peru's Coen brothers, but someone will eventually get around to it. Cinematheque.
