Last week, Swiss actor Bruno Ganz, who stars in Wings of Desire, Wim Wenders' beautiful 1987 film about an angel who wants to become human, died in Switzerland at age 78.
To pay tribute to the man, the
Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque will host a special screening of
Wings of Desire at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 27.
The film, which co-stars Peter Falk and has English subtitles, will be shown in a new 4K digital restoration.
Tickets cost $11. Cinematheque members, those with CIA or CSU I.D.s, and those age 25 can purchase discounted tickets for $8.
