In November 1942, Casablanca debuted in New York. Critics raved, and after it was released nationally, the f ilm would go to become one of the most famous movies of all time.

According to the folks at the American Film Institute, it checks in at No. 3 on their list of the greatest movies ever made.

The film centers on the “struggle and backroom dealings" many Europeans faced trying to flee the continent for America through Morocco during World War II. Humphrey Bogart, Ingrid Bergman and Paul Henreid star.

To celebrate its 75th anniversary, 14 area theaters will screen the film at 2 and 7 p.m. on Sunday and on Wednesday, Nov. 15.

The special screening will include exclusive commentary before and after the film from Turner Classic Movie's Ben Mankiewicz.

Tickets and movie locations can be found now at FathomEvents.com.
