Less than 20 theaters around the world will show Star Wars: The Force Awakens on 70mm film, and the IMAX theater at Great Lakes Science Center is one of them.

The center is showing the movie on its IMAX screen beginning next Friday, March 4. Screenings will run through April 1.

Several sequences of Star Wars: The Force Awakens were filmed using IMAX cameras, meaning the screening will give a one-of-a-kind vertical view. On top of the scenery, the movie will be shown in HD.

Show times are 5:30 p., and 8 p.m. on March 4 - 6 and March 10 - 13. From March 17 - 19, March 24 - 26 and March 31 and April 1, there is one 6 p.m. showtime.

Tickets go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. at the Science Center box office, GreatScience.com or calling 216-621-2400. Tickets are $11 for adults and $9 for kids 12 and under. Center members ticket prices are $9 for adults and $7 for kids 12 and under.

Most importantly, dressing up as your favorite character is allowed (however light sabers and anything that looks like a weapon is not).
