Anti-Flag punk Clash

Pittsburgh punks Anti-Flag are proud of their sociopolitical accomplishments of the past few years. At the top of the list is their commitment to getting their young fans out to vote. In the past year alone, the band has signed up more than 10,000 people online and at its live shows. Not so surprisingly, Anti-Flag can be quite a self-righteous — and kinda pretentious — lot. In "Good and Ready," from its new The Bright Lights of America CD, a children's choir joins in on a bummer chorus about going straight to hell. The band is at its best playing Clash-style riff rock, like that in the rousing title track. Expect plenty of volume and sweat onstage.
