Avenged Sevenfold's the End of the World Tour Coming to Blossom

In the '00s, the hard rock act Avenged Sevenfold became one of the world's biggest rock bands by creating a sound that "broke through obstacles of language, distance and culture." The writings of Carl Sagan and Elon Musk inspired their most recent release, The Stage, a concept album about artificial intelligence.

Dubbed the End of the World tour, the jaunt in support of the disc features Prophets of Rage plus Three Days Grace.

The tour comes to Blossom on Aug. 6, and tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday.

"We're proud to tour with Prophets of Rage and Three Days Grace this summer across America," says Avenged Sevenfold singer M. Shadows in a press release announcing the dates. "We see this tour as an opportunity to create an event with special bands and different generations of rock fans. From the moment you arrive at the venue until the last note is played, we're hoping to give you the time of your life."

Prophets of Rage features Tom Morello, Tim Commerford and Brad Wilk of Rage Against the Machine, Chuck D and DJ Lord of Public Enemy and B-Real of Cypress Hill.

"Awful pop dominating the airwaves? Political chaos across the land? Wanna fight back? Well, the End of the World Tour is here," adds Morello. "Prophets of Rage and Avenged Sevenfold have always played absolutely uncompromising music. If you want your summer loud, raw and fearless we'll see you in the pit."

The End of the World Tour is part of Live Nation's Ticket To Rock promo, which offers multi-ticket bundles to some of the summer's biggest rock shows. Go to LiveNation.com for more info. The package includes two other Blossom concerts, Five Finger Death Punch and Breaking Benjamin (Aug. 27) and Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson (July 17).

Bundle tickets go on sale today at 3 p.m.
