Meet the Band: Rodney Rose (rhythm guitar, acoustic guitar), James Bucceri (guitarist), Aaron Dalison (bass), Jim Trivanovich (drums), Zac Pirillo (singer-guitarist), Dan Morris (steel guitar)
Outlaws at Heart: The band formed five years ago after Rose and Bucceri started writing songs together and put the group together with guys they knew from the local metal and hard rock scene. "Everybody in the band grew up listening to a different genre, whether it's rock, metal or country," Rose says. "These songs are inspired by country and Southern rock, acts like Lynyrd Skynyrd and Merle Haggard. [Lynyrd Skynyrd's] Ronnie Van Zant is one of my influences for lyrics and vocals."
On the Horizon: Rose says the band is getting ready to start recording again and make a few new music videos with a release date for the album scheduled for early next year.
Why You Should Hear Them: The band's no-frills approach recalls the early country icons it idolizes, and Rose, who owns 252 Tattoo with Gluttons/Ringworm frontman James Bulloch, says the band's hard-drinking crowd appreciates that straightforwardness. "We're a really good drinking band," he says. "When it comes to bar sales, our crowd will beat anyone. And girls love to dance at the shows."
