It's safe to call Ferret Music a metal-and-hardcore label. After all, the owner is the lead singer of NORA; the big band on the label is Every Time I Die; and Killswitch Engage got its start with Ferret. But somehow, Boys Night Out, a group of guys with a slight morbid streak who play poppy emo, was scooped up by the lead-heavy record company. However, there is one hardcore element to this pop-punk quintet: a bunch of yelling. Yep, hardcore vocals and pop-punk music. The lyrics are quirky and very clever, something both emo and hardcore kids can appreciate. For proof of Boys Night Out's sense of humor, just look at the song titles on the latest disc, Make Yourself Sick ("I Got Punched in the Nose for Sticking My Face in Other People's Business," "Yeah, No . . . I Know . . ."). This is the perfect band to be touring with Fall Out Boy.
