The melody is annoying but infectious. The lyrics are kinda awful, but you can't help singing along. "Whistle," the opening track off Flo Rida's fourth album, is easy to hate on, for sure. But the formula has worked wonders for the 32-year-old rapper over the past four years, landing him in the Top 10 more than a half-dozen times. But "Good Feeling," last year's big single that's included on Wild Ones, pretty much sums up a Flo Rida hit. The song rides an Etta James sample, but Flo Rida gets lost between the killer beat and James, who, even as a ghost, steals the show. Samples of old cuts by recent Rock Hall inductee Freddie King and '80s R&B singer Brenda Russell also manage to overshadow the MC. But if all you want is mindless dance-floor escapism, mission accomplished. — Eddie Fleisher
