Transgendered Cleveland singer Baby Dee has a new album coming out soon. It's called A Book of Songs for Anne Marie and it's due sometime in the spring.
Dee also has a month-long U.S. tour starting in April, with a pair of hometown shows, including a Beachland Tavern gig on April 15.
Dee got some help on his/her last album, 2008's Safe Inside the Day, from Will Oldham and Andrew W.K.
A Book of Songs for Anne Marie features more of the same sad, spooky and genre-crossing piano torch music found on Safe Inside the Day.
There's no release date set yet, but we suspect it'll be out sometime before the tour starts in Philadelphia on April 8 —Michael Gallucci
