And then some: Fifteen musicians contribute harp, flute, cello, and other floral instruments to Saint Cecilia. Songs like "Bedroom Piano" and "Randal's Resume" recall the soft-strummed elegance of Simon & Garfunkel, while the somber "It Ends With an Ellipsis" summons the gloomy ghost of Elliott Smith. The Wilco-like "Birthday Girl" crosses from folk to alt-country, powered by twangy steel guitars and rollicking piano riffs.
