If Halloween is truly the new Christmas, then here's the logical next step: The
Freak Orthodox party keeps the Halloweentide revelry going by celebrating late. The show, hosted by local radio personality Sweetass Sassafrass from WCSB's 669 show, will raise proceeds for the Cleveland State radio station and will feature a Fractured Transmitter label showcase. Local and visiting VIPS will gather to check out most of the roster of the burgeoning Akron-based label, which exploded onto the international scene with Meshuggah's universally lauded I EP. Now it's spreading the love around to local all-stars, including female-fronted alt-rockers Blush, horrorcore phenoms American Werewolves (pictured), and Youngstown's epically adventurous Asleep.
