Fun Fact: "In August 2003, Dave Holmberg begins writing the album The Dead and The Mad after an ex-girlfriend crawls through bathroom window and robs him of his beloved Roland VK7 combo organ. Law enforcement are summoned, who discover she also absconded with his prized authentic Hawaiian ukelele. Items discovered, pawned, at local music store. Items recovered after long Labor Day weekend. Incident inspired the lyric, 'The next job that suits your slumming gait.' Holmberg next visits local pumpkin patch. Like a monkey who discovered tools, Holmberg rubs dry corn cobs together while in a corn maze. Takes them home, plays them into a microphone really loud with delay. This my friends, is 'The Birth of Corn.' Album completed upon the 2500th U.S. military serviceperson death in Iraq. This my friends, is the end of 'Sanctity.'"
