Show up early to get into the House of Swing's 30th anniversary party. Long a cornerstone of the city's true blues scene, the club will get to shaking with an all-star open jam session, hosted by Blues deVille. A night of giveaways and catered food will turn serious for a moment, with a tribute to the late Lou Kallie -- the House's founder, a jazz drummer, and one of the city's most renowned record collectors. And then it's time for the blues to lift everyone's spirits -- as they have nightly for three decades.
