The soundtrack album from the HBO TV series Hung hits stores today, and it’s got a Northeast Ohio flavor.

Many fans are already aware that the series uses “I’ll Be Your Man” by Akron’s Black Keys as its theme.

But — alongside songs by Loretta Lynn, Sharon Jones and Dap Kings, the Psychedelic Furs, and Devendra Banhart — two other area artists appear on the CD.

Akron native, and Peter Gabriel discovery, singer-songwriter Joseph Arthur contributes “Walk Away.” And former Clevelander Craig Wedren, who has developed a flourishing career scoring for film and TV (including Hung), offers “Play the Game.”

All the songs on the soundtrack have been featured in the show. —Anastasia Pantsios
