Jambang and the Texas Corrugators

9 p.m. Friday, June 13, $10 (all ages). Wilbert's, 812 Huron Rd. E., 216-902-4663.

Black Flag electronic music

Former Black Flag guitarist Greg Ginn (second from left) gets the shred out in not one but two sets. Neither's as hardcore or extreme as his Flag material, but both push the envelope into "How much art can you take?" territory. In Jambang, the axeman — whom Rolling Stone named one of its greatest guitarists of all time — honors his roots as a Deadhead. Featuring a visual projectionist/artist, the quintet blends electronic music and old-fashioned noodling. Then Ginn returns with the Texas Corrugators, tipping a ten-gallon hat to his new home of Texas. That duo hammers out a Western-swing, country-tinged experience that revels in two-step clichés and rains broken notes. Both shows include a multimedia show, complete with big-screen projections — but don't hold your breath waiting for the "TV Party" video.
