John Mulaney Offers to Host the Rock Hall Inductions

[image-1] In an interview with Seth Meyers, comedian and actor John Mulaney offered to host the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductions.

He'd certainly be more welcome than Howard Stern, the shock jock who has repeatedly complained about having to come to Cleveland to induct Bon Jovi at the upcoming awards ceremony that takes place at Public Hall in April.

"[The Rock Hall Inductions] are the only truly fun awards show," Mulaney told Meyers. "It happens every year — or does it? I'm not sure. If it didn't, no one would notice. They induct about a half a dozen ungrateful bands into an association that no one asked for in Cleveland. Think of it like a wedding if every speech was given by the bride's ex-boyfriend. Every band comes in with some old grievance."

He goes on to say that the kind of glitches that happen at other ceremonies are commonplace at the Rock Hall Inductions.

"The Rock & Hall of Fame Induction bands know for months that they have to give a speech, and they blow it every year," he joked in the very funny segment in which he also recalled having seen Frank Sinatra perform.
