Friday, December 1, at Cloud 9.

In the studio, the Kaskade tag refers not only to deep-house DJ and producer Ryan Raddon, but also to his long list of collaborators. Spanning dozens of singles and EPs, as well as three home-listening albums, Finn Bjarnson has co-written nearly every track in the Kaskade catalog. He also receives frequent instrumental contributions from house music mainstay Craig Poole and vocals by soul crooner Joslyn Petty. The collective approach to production instills Kaskade's brand of deep house with an organic vibe that has helped catapult Raddon and company to the top of the house world in little more than five years.

Both Kaskade's 2001 debut In the Moment and this year's Love Mysterious exude a blend of mellifluous dance grooves, dreamy R&B, and jazz-infused lounge. When it comes to representing Kaskade in the clubs, though, Raddon maintains sole control, averaging about 150 DJ dates a year. Here, he cuts Kaskade's soothing house with gritty techno and a fat low end that keeps the crowd sweating deep into the night.
