What local band improved the most this year?

"I would have to say Tall Pines. They just keep getting better and better. They've had a solid lineup now for six months or so that's starting to jell really well. That's my two cents, don't spend it all in one place."

-- Michael D., singer (Boatzz), Cleveland

"The Slack-Jawed Yokels for sure -- considering that their bassist, Jimbo, was deployed to Iraq for 10 months this year. He returned safely, and the Yokels still managed to rock this past month. I'd say they've made some progress."

-- Jeanette B., Cleveland

"I would have to say Black Trinity. I saw them at the Phantasy. They started out kinda raw, but really did a bang-up job at the House of Blues later on in the year."

-- Dott S., Lakewood
