They’ve collaborated with the Cleveland/Bristol, VA-based studio/production company the Earnest Tube on the project.
“The Earnest Tube is proud to announce Local Flavor, a partnership between artists and makers that allows performing artists to reclaim revenue lost by the dwindling sales of physical formats such as CDs, tapes and records,” says the Earnest Tube’s Clint Holley in a press release. “Our first partnership is with folk duo Sands & Hearn and City Roast Coffee. Sands & Hearn are passionate about drinking coffee, and City Roast is passionate about producing small batch, high quality coffee! This is a dark roast coffee, deep in flavor. To ensure the freshness, this is sold as whole bean.”
To celebrate the release of their newest single that Sands & Hearn recorded direct-to-disc at the Earnest Tube in Bristol, the group will sell a bag of coffee that includes a scan-able Spotify code for the song "Lonely For My Baby." Simply open a Spotify app, tap the camera function and scan the code to redeem.
