Local Hard Rock Act Deadiron to Play CD Release Show at Agora

Music News

One of the top hard rock bands on the local circuit, Deadiron has been slowly gaining traction since releasing its full-length debut, Out of the Rust And Ruin, back in 2012. Now, the group is set to issue the follow-up, Into The Fray, which will be officially released worldwide on March 24 via Auburn Records. The band plays a CD release show on Saturday, March 7, at the Agora.

"We are proud to be hosting the CD release show of our new album Into the Fray at the Agora," says Deadiron guitarist Tyler Harvey in a press release. "The [show's] lineup offers some refreshing diversity, so we hope that everyone can enjoy a nice cross section of heavy music and comedy from the city. We also will be debuting new merchandise to celebrate as well."

Producer Dave Piatek recorded the album at his Dave Piatek Recording Studio located on Murray Hill in Cleveland's Little Italy neighborhood. Dan Coutant of Sun Room mastered the album.

"We are very proud of this new album," says Harvey. "It took us a little longer than expected getting it out, but we believe it's a high caliber addition to the metal world. We've matured a little bit (maybe) since our last album, and the production has improved as well thanks to working more closely with Dave (Piatek). We think the vocals have improved drastically and hope that it opens us up to wider range of audiences who may have been turned off by the harsher vocals of the first album. Deadiron's signature guitar riffing and harmony lines are as present as ever, and are accompanied by an even fuller sounding rhythm section. We are definitely in love with this album, and some of us still haven't stopped spinning it! We certainly have our work cut out for us to continue improving as musicians so we can top this record with the next one!"

Deadiron will also perform in front of some 80,000 fans at this summer's sold out Wacken Open Air Festival that’s set to take place from July 30 to August 1 in Wacken, Germany. Wacken is the world's biggest heavy metal festival. This Is A Lifetime, Visionaries, Craic, Hawkeye, Purveyors of Fiction and comedians Joe Whelan, Walter Hemmelgarn and Dave Flynt are on the bill for the Agora show. Doors open at 6 p.m. and tickets are $6 but free with a flyer (either printed or displayed on your mobile device at the door).
