Local Hip-Hop Group Go Roger Releases New Music Video

The local hip-hop group Go Roger (formerly Kill Roger) has just issued a music video for “Skillet,” a  breezy tune with a De La Soul-like vibe. The music video features animation from Zachatino and includes footage shot around town. It even offers up a shootout to the late writer Harvey Pekar.

“A lot of projects like to say they are eclectic or span many genres, but I would say we take the cake on that,” says the band’s leader, vocalist and producer Go (aka No One Body).

Two more singles with two more videos are in the works. One will be released during the NBA finals, which will presumably include the Cavs.

“We’ll have a different aesthetic and sound for next one,” says Go.

The group has its own recording studio, FYOComforzoneStudio, where it records its own music as well the music of other acts. The band also produces its videos in house and has its own art department.

“The best team is building here and adding more who seem to be believing in the movement,” says Go. “[Local rapper] Kent Archie is featured in video and we are working on a ton of music with him. We’re also working with many start up artists in town along with established session musicians. We’re hitting that age where it's do or die — go all out or waste away living a life paying bills to watch Netflix.”
