In advance of the release of its debut album, the local indie rock band Oregon Space Trail of Doom has released a new music video for the tune "Psychic Leader."
"The video details a point of view perspective of the Psychic Leader, and the trials and tribulations he goes through on that particular day," explains
singer-guitarist Ryan Fletterick. "From the middle of the video until about the end, it becomes a little more extreme as his thoughts become lucid and surreal, resulting in a final burst of excitement during the final moments of the video. It’s a very abstract video, and I’m hoping that the viewer will create their own narrative or opinion for how it ends. In short, the Psychic Leader is just a misguided entity seeking friendship/interests from others because he himself may not understand fully who he is, an idea that some people struggle with."
At 9 p.m. on Saturday at the Happy Dog, the band plays a release party. Beach Stav and Psycho Men open the show.
